Subvert kick off 2022 in style as they bring this eclectic lineup to The Buttermarket!

Break

Break is one of DnB’s most prolific producers, having released music on many of the scenes top labels. Acquiring a love for the breakbeat through jazz and funk records, Break learned the drums and piano at a young age and took to the turntables at the age of fourteen. A talented musician with a wide range of influences, Break looks to push the barriers in whatever he’s doing. Crisp breaks, heavy bass and strong melody are trade marks of his productions making him a firm favourite with a variety of the scenes top DJs.

SP:MC

Making waves for over 15 years now, SP:MC has cemented himself as one of the most respected & busiest MCs on the circuit. Versatility & quality control are guaranteed when SP’s in the building. He cites MCs GQ, Dynamite & Conrad as early influences. Nominated for ‘Best MC’ at 1Xtra’s XtraBass Awards in March 2007, & was shortlisted at the D&BArena Awards 2009-2016. In 2011, SP was crowned ‘Best MC’ at the D&B Arena Awards.

Phibes

Known for their high powered electric live shows and speaker shaking production, real life sibling duo Phibes have taken their place at DnB’s top table after a powerhouse 2021.

Now that the clubs are open again Phibes have capitalised on their incredible Lockdown rise, including a Beatport global (No 1 (their seminal remix of Best Assassins’ Homegrown on Jungle Cakes) and a newfound position as one of the top-selling acts in DnB.

At one point in October 2021, Phibes had the top three-selling DNB tracks in the world, an unprecedented achievement.

Bish

Crossy

This Bristol based DJ has been making a name for himself over the last few years. Frenetic

Frenetic by name and frenetic by nature, the word isn’t just the alias the 25-year-old breakout star has carved out for herself, it’s also the perfect way to describe the sound of

her sets and an even more accurate way to illustrate her explosive entrance into the world of drum & bass. Playing sets for some of the most respected brands in D&B such as: Hospital, RAM, Playaz, Shogun Audio, Born On Road and Critical, with UKF listing her as one of their ‘Ones to Watch 2021’ and calling her ‘Genuinely Unstoppable’.
